Facility Inspections
Facility safety inspections can cover a lot of territory. Here are some key things to look for before you begin working:
Overloaded electrical circuits.
Blocked or awkward hallways.
Extension cords lying where people have to walk on them.
Hazardous materials stored in the open or in the wrong place.
Fire extinguishers that are missing, that don't have an inspection tag or that haven't been inspected in a long time.
Floors or decks that are slippery or irregular.

Green Schools Summit
Back by popular demand, we are happy to announce the second Kansas Green Schools Summit. The Smoky Hill Education Service Center in Salina, KS will be hosting Superintendents, School Board Members and Educators on February 25, 2010. The Seminar will also be availble via Distance Learning in Concordia and Hays. 2010 AC Clinic
It's time to plan for the 2010 Air Conditioning Clinic, brought to you by the University of Missouri - Kansas City and TRANE. This course, which takes place one night per week from September - December, covers the basics of air conditioning. This course is NOT a service school. Osage County Receives Energy Efficiency Award
Osage Countyrecently completed high efficiency energy upgrades to preserve the historic Osage County Courhouse for future generations, as well as improve other county buildings. On December 14th Osage County was recognized as a leader in Energy Efficiency at an awards ceremony at the County Courthouse. At the ceremony Susan Duffy, Kansas Corporation Commission Director, said "we hope Osage County will be the poster child, so to speak, for other counties to review their situation and see if they can take advantage of this program".
